Music Therapy

Music Therapists recognise that there is an innate responsiveness to music in all human beings, regardless of (and rarely impaired by) physical or mental disability, injury or illness. Music Therapists work with this innate ‘music person’ accessible within each client.

Music Therapists work with both individuals and groups, and clients do not need any musical experience or any learned musical skills to participate or benefit.

Music Therapy intervention has proven beneficial for children and adults of all ages – from premature birth to the elderly.

Music Therapy is a valuable therapeutic medium as it facilitates organised and structured behaviour, allowing for creative and emotional expression, while providing an overall creative and enjoyable holistic experience.
